KEY REQUIREMENTS

English Language Proficiency required DUTIES:
This position is located in the Primary and Specialty Medicine Service.

Primary duties of this ! position are to provide coverage for all clinic patients assigned.

This will include non-obstetrical women's health.

There is generally no holiday call, but the position will be subject to a "Medical Officer of the Day" rotation for phone coverage of our community based living center after normal clinic hours.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Preferred Experience

Board certific! ation in Urology

Background in the full range of Urology proce! dures to include surgical procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifting up to 35 pounds for 8-12 hours, intermittently; moderate carrying (15-35 pounds) for 8-12 hours, intermittently; lifting over 35 pounds with assistive devices in accordance with the Safe Patient; Handling Policy (PCS-026) except in emergent situations requiring prompt patient care;pulling for 8-12 hours, intermittently;pushing for 8-12 hours, intermittently;reaching above the shoulders for 8-12 hours, intermittently;both hands required;walking 8-12 hours, intermittently;standing 8-12 hours, intermittently;kneeling 8-12 hours, intermittently;repeated bending for 8-12 hours intermittently;climbing and use of both legs and arms for 8-12 hours, intermittently;both legs required;near vision correctable at 13-16Â" to Jaeger 1 to 4;far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other eye; ability to disti! nguish basic colors;hearing (aid permitted);specific hearing requiremen! ts;and other: twisting, simple grasp and fine manipulation.
