Front End Developer

Position Summary:
Paul Fredrick is a growing online retailer in the highly competitive menswear market. We are seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Shopify website architecture. Your primary focus will be to ensure our website is reliable, fast, scalable, and user-friendly.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the front-end of our Shopify website using Shopify Liquid Theme 2.0 architecture.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Optimize the website for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with marketers and designers to ensure the website is user-friendly and visually appealing.
- Implement and maintain SEO best practices.
- Ensure the website is compliant with ADA (American with Disability Act) and State Privacy laws.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in web development.
- Work with our 3rd party developer to conduct quality assurance testing to ensure high-performance, bug-free code, and troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree specializing in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Ecommerce web development
- Minimum of 2 years experience working within the Shopify Plus platform
- Experience working with Shopify meta fields and leveraging them to create customized solutions.
- Strong experience with Shopify Apps
- 2 years experience working with Liquid, JavaScript, jQuery and AJAX as necessary.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, and CSS, SASS
- Proficiency with Shopify tooling - Themekit / CLI
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks and libraries
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality websites.
- Working knowledge of Cloud Platforms, Version Control Systems (such as Git or Mercurial), Jenkins, Gulp, Jira, Confluence, Git Hub, and Bit Bucket
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
