Shift begin time: 6:30 PM
Shift end time: 7:00 AM
Under direct guidance and supervision from the Registered Nurse the OB technician assists with the care of the patient in the Labor and Delivery suite. May be responsible for the transportation of patients to and from the Labor and Delivery suite and for errands to other departments. The OB Technician also assists in the care, preparation and maintenance of the delivery rooms, labor rooms, sterile and unsterile supplies and equipment. The OB Technician is responsible for maintaining supplies and equipment, performing non-clinical nursing tasks, and clerical and receptionist duties for a nursing unit.
