Operating Room Assistant - (Full-time/Days)

Insures flow of instruments, supplies and equipment to and from the Operating Room(s). Maintain inventory levels in clean core including supplies, instruments and other equipment. Assists with the turn-over and equipment set up of operating rooms.
Essential Duties
:
Retrieves instruments, supplies and equipment from elevator and delivers them to identified room.
Returns unused items from operating room to sterile processing via the elevator in a timely fashion.
Retrieves equipment for operating rooms during cases.
Assists with turn-over of rooms and equipment set-up.
Inventory and stock all supplies and instruments kept in the clean core(s) including up-separate cart.
Communicates with sterile processing staff and operating rooms staff regarding the flow of supplies, instruments and equipment.
Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the clean core.
Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications
Education
:
Must have a high school diploma or graduate equivalent diploma (GED).
Experience
:
Prior surgery or sterile processing experience preferred.
License/Certification
:
BLS certification required within three months of hire.
Sterile processing certification preferred.
