The current opening is for a supplemental p! osition working variable shifts. A supplemental associate will be scheduled to work a minimum of 120 hours over a six month period. Works under the supervision of the Nurse Director and/or Management Council. Participates in performing specialized skills required within the department such as surgical technology assistance for procedures.

Essential Functions:
Performs the following essential functions. Maintains skills and competency for identified functions:
1. Scrub Technician functions:
a. Plans for and prepares needed instruments, supplies and equipment for deliveries and assures proper functioning and charging.
b. Pe! rforms and maintains sterile technique.
c. Assures a ! safe and hazard free environment during the delivery.
d. Accounts for items within the sterile field during surgery.
2. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on the physical, psychosocial, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served.
3. May be required to work additional shifts or change shifts.
4. May be subjected to stressful situations.
5. May be required to work in other patient care areas of the Medical Center according to needs dictated by patient census or staffing patterns.
Qualifications
Position Qualifications
Education:
Completion of Surgical Technology training or LPN license in the State of Nebraska.
Licensure/Certification:
1. Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) for the Perinatal Department.
2. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Experience/Pre-Requisites: None.

3. Attends mandatory education programs and meets established requirements.
Attends department meetings and in-services as directed
