Job Summary: The surgery manager, who is a registered nurse, is under the immediate supervision of the Director of Surgery. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide ! age-appropriate patient care as well as physical, psychosocial and cultural needs of the patient. The surgery manager is responsible for the supervision of and delegation of tasks to appropriate individuals, including staff, students, and other customers of the organization and will not take staff call. Is held responsible of the flow of surgical procedures, including collaborating with physicians, coordination of staff, handling sales representatives, keeping staff orientated and informed of new equipment.
Is responsible for the safety of the patient while in the operating room. Held accountable to the policies and procedures of the surgery department of Faith Regional Health Services. Responsible for oversight of the daily operations and partners with the business office for invoicing, facilitates with coding/billing company, and heads up the QI committee.
