General Summary
Reports to the Chief Operating Officer of The Physician Network. Plans and administers medically prescribed or referred physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery or loss of body part. Must document patient care, educate and inform patient and referring physician on outlined plan of care and discharge as guided by patient progress and managed care directives. Oversees utilization and staffing of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy staff at the Medical Center as well as off-site outpatient clinics. Responsible for budget and fiscal operation and pl! anning of all PT, OT and Rehab. Services of Saint Elizabeth He! alth System.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
1. Adhere to APTA Code of Ethics.
2. Establishes yearly goals.
3. Established a physical therapy diagnosis through baseline assessment of function and form.
4. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on the physical, psychosocial, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served.
5. Supervises aides in preparation or assistance with patient care.
6. Communicates assertively and openly about patientâs care plan.
7. Maintains daily progress notes, correspondence with referring physician and departmental documentation procedures.
8. Recognizes responsibilities and role as primary therapist wh! en other therapists are involved with patient care.
9. Interviews and works with Manager in hiring of physical therapists.
10. Responsible for all yearly performance evaluations.
11. Works with manager in the development and application of department policy and procedures.
12. Supervises âoff-siteâ administrative PT/OT activity.
13. Coordinates, controls, and completes all annual budgets assigned.
14. Responsible for equipment procurement and safety.
15. Responsible for the development of PT/OT department goals.
16. Maintain patient confidentiality.
17. Maintain professional demeanor at all times.
18. Attend and participate in staff meetings.
19. Attend any educational seminars as requested.
20. Read and comply with all policies and procedures and personnel policies as stated.
21. Understand and demonstrate compliance with HIPAA regulations.
22. Understand and demonstrate the twelve (12) behavior standards for âE! mbrace the Spiritâ.
23. Understand and demonstrate the seven (7) ! âStandards of Conductâ as defined in âOur Values and Ethics at Workâ reference guide.
Marginal Job Functions:
1. Participates in weekly in-service training.
2. Administers manual therapeutic exercise.
3. Instructs, motivates and assists patients in non-manual exercises.
4. Trains/educates staff personnel, students, community, etc.
5. Completes other delegated projects or duties as assigned.
6. Participates in departmentâs QI activity.
7. Acts as a liaison with administration, physicians and staff in developing new programs or policies.
8. Develops appropriate productivity measures.
9. Assists with orientation of new therapists.
