Registered Nurse Operating Room Surgery (Circulate)Shift: varies Description: Surgery RN is responsible for the care and safety of the surgical patient while in the operating room environment. Thr! ough assessment of individual patients and procedure activities they anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment. They participate in supervision and task delegation to operating room technicians, licensed professional nursing staff and nonprofessional operating room staff members. RN with current Nebraska or compact licensure.
BSN preferred. BLS, ACLS, PALS required. CNOR preferred. Will start on day shift and move to evening shift (11:45am - 8:15pm).
Registered NurseAs a RN, you will work directly with patients and their families. RNs are the primary point of contact between the patient and the world of health care. RNs perform frequent patient evaluations, including monitoring and tracking vital signs, performing procedures such as IV placement, phlebotomy, and administering medications. You will also develop the day-to-day nursing care plans both in hospital, and for care after d! ischarge by families and visiting nurses.
