This Pain Management Physician position is located in the Extended Care and Rehabilitation Service.
Seeking a boar! d certified Physician with specialization in pain preferred. This position is accountable to the Chief, Extended Care and Rehabilitation.
Leadership of the Level 2b Pain Management team for the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System; implementing the Pain Management program that represents the Stepped Pain Model of Care.
Deliver evidence-based assessment and treatment of Veterans
Provide pain management education for primary care providers, specialty care providers, patients/caregivers and staff members.
Complete electronic CPRS documentation meeting all VA requirements for timeliness and content.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm with off tour coverage as required.
Relocation expenses will be reimbursed. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equ! ivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or oste! opathic medicine.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Preferred Experience
Board certification and specialization in pain
At least one year of experience working as part of an Interdisciplinary team.
