Responsible for the accounting/analyses associated with package insurance.
Essential Functions/Competencies

Prepares monthly investment reports detailing manager, asset class, total fund characteristics and risk analysis. Calculates, analyzes and maintains pooled investment shares for multiple entities, including monthly journal entries and reconciliations. Maintains/researches new investments and related benchmarks, providing recommendations to management, executives, or board. Analyzes investments for impairment with the organizationâs policy and adjusts accordingly.

Coordinates purchasing and managing short term investments with financial institutions while maximizing return. Responsibl! e for all functions associated with account maintenance. Assis! ts in the development of financial institution relationships.

Responsible for all related accounting for long-term debt and derivatives and submits quarterly and annual filings and disclosures as required to DAC.

Handle special reporting requests for Sr. VP & CFO and VP Controller i.e. development of reporting, presentations and other special projects as requested.

Serves as subject matter expert regarding debt management and investment reporting.

Serves as a back up to and cross trains with Cash Analyst, Foundation Analyst & Reporting Analyst.

Responsible for daily cash reconciliations for foundation, as needed

Treasury responsibilities for foundation including research and purchase arrangements for all investments

Maintains the accounting/analyses of the package insurance for CH; prepares annual renewal applications, reports! and summaries as required; allocates premiums to the affiliated entities; and prepares the monthly insurance expense journal entry. Includes day to day activities: new physician insurance coverage, coverage for locum tenen, insurance certifications for events and credentialing; and etc

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelorâs degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or finance required.
Minimum 5 yearsâ experience in finance, investment reporting, accounting, or related field required, preferably in healthcare setting.
