Sterilmed, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a part-time Collection Technician in the Lincoln, NE area working 9 hours per week.
Sterilmed is a nationally recognized com! pany that safely reprocesses single-use medical devices for hospitals and surgery centers across the country. We take great pride in saving hundreds of millions of dollars for the health care system while simultaneously diverting thousands of tons of biomedical waste from landfills. Medical device reprocessing is an FDA-regulated industry and is endorsed by the AHA, AORN, CMS and the Joint Commission.
Key duties of the position include:
Collect invasive and non-invasive medical devices from different departments at assigned medical facilities
Determine appropriate placement of Sterilmed collection containers and implement continual process improvement on pathway assessments
Sort and pre-clean devices according to the hospital infection control policies and policies and procedures that are necessary to meet shipping requirements if a third party collections vendor is not utilized in assigned medical facility
Package and label collected devices! for shipment
Maintain necessary supplies and documentatio! n for appropriate packaging and shipping
Keep a binder at each assigned site that includes the most current version of: Site Execution Agreement (SEA), Updated Site Walking Instructions (SWI), current Return Goods Authorization (RGA) Forms, Orange RGA Labels, and Incident Report.
Develop and execute plans to increase collections in existing accounts
Acquire and maintain all necessary vendor credentials to gain account access
Develop relationships with key customer contacts responsible for Materials Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Inventory Control
Maintain consistent communication with Field Service Management, Customer Service and Sales
Follow weekly service schedule agreed to with Field Service management and attend scheduled calls
Follow Return Goods Authorization process (RGA) for all product returns.
Travel: A requirement of this position is to travel between assigned sites using personal transportation. Travel varies in! frequency and duration.
Equipment: A requirement of this position is entering hours and expenses into an online system and printing shipping documents. Must have access to a computer/internet/printer to enter/print this information

TRAINING: Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time-period. Training is required for changes in existing policies & procedures, for new assignments and for implementation of new policies & procedures. Complete required periodic re-training in areas such as environmental health & safety
SAFETY: Follow all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area. Promote safety to all associate! s that enter the work area

High School diploma or equivalent
Two or more years of service experience
Prior experience in a healthcare environment with knowledge of materials, supply chain, inventory control or purchasing preferred
Medical device knowledge preferred
Strong customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to present information in a professional manner
Ability to understand process management
Proficient in MS Office with basic computer skills and internet knowledge required
Highly motivated, organized with good problem solving skills
Ability to manage time efficiently
Ability to work i! ndependently with little supervision
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
Access to a computer, a printer and the internet with ability to access company provided email account
Access to a reliable mobile phone number to be contacted on during scheduled hours. Access to a smart phone is preferred.
Access to a reliable method of transportation
Proof of immunizations including current TB results and flu shot may be required depending on assigned accounts
