Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
2 years full time registered nurse experience within specialty
A valid RN license (American Traveler will assist with obtaining additional travel nurse job state licensure where applicable)
A ! valid BLS
Specialty related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific registered nurse and travel nurse positions

The Operating Room Registered Nurse assists doctors and surgeons in the operating room and checks patient vital signs during surgery. They work alongside surgical teams to make sure that patients are receiving the best possible care, and serve as liaisons between the surgical team and the patients' families. OR RNs interview and assess patients on the day of surgery, monitor patients and coordinate care during surgery, maintain a sterile operating room during surgery while always acting as th! e liaison between the surgical team and patient families. The ideal tra! vel nursing OR candidate should be willing and able to work and be on call during weekends, holidays and take call, especially if working at a Trauma Center. An Operating Room nurse should be multifaceted, structured and a strong patient advocate. OR travel nurses are extremely well compensated and always in demand.
