JOB SUMMARY: Work as a member of the Psychology Department to provide psychological services to patients within The Nebraska Medical Center and affiliated institutions. Major referral sources include the bariatric surgery, kidney transplant, heart and trauma teams, as well as a broad range of other primary and specialty care practices within the medical center. Psychological services include pre-surgical evaluation, diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of patients for the purpose of preventing or eliminating symptomatic, maladapt! ive, or undesired behavior and to facilitate adaptation to phy! sical illness, accident or injury.
Doctoral degree in psychology with an American Psychological Association approved or equivalent internship and one year post-doctoral supervised experience required. Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required. Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience required. Licensed or license-eligible in Nebraska required
