Job Summary/Essential Duties:
Coordinate all site specific activities associated with surgical services inventory control and supply chain â" including, but not limited to, ordering supplies, receiving supplies, returning supplies, etc
Ensure site specific processes relating ! to inventory control and supply chain management adhere to sys! tem standard focusing on decreasing PAR levels, line items, and total inventory volume.
Aid in the preparation of supply budget. Monitor performance as compared to budget. Investigate and report on budget variances.
Work in conjunction with the Surgical Services Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure the accuracy of item file data, completeness and accuracy of DPCs.
Monitor staff compliance in regards to the use of inventory control/supply chain system automation. Educate staff on system changes. Troubleshoot system problems as they arise.
Work in conjunction with appropriate education staff to train surgery staff on the use of new equipment and supplies.
Attend and actively participate in SSVAT and implement SSVAT decisions.
Monitor sales representative activity within assigned ORs to ensure sales representative adhere to applicable policies and procedures and takes appropriate actions to ensure vendor compliance with RepTr! ax policy.
Hours: Based on the Supply Team Support & Departmental Need - Current Position Hours 0930 - 1800 - Monday - Friday
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience/Education:
Preferred:
Five years of Operating Room experience
Two years of functional experience maintaining OR supplies
Bachelorâs degree is preferred or graduation from Surgical Technology Program
Three years of Operating Room experience or equivalent pertinent experience
BLS certification is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Red Cross: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute: CPR, PRO, must say âProfessional Level-with AEDâ, and American Heart Association: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of standard OR supplies and equipment
Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines
! Basic project management skills
Basic computer literacy skills, especially spreadsheet data manipulation
Effective written and verbal communication skills
High level of motivation, team orientation, professionalism, and trust
