Supports IT application services for a variety of applications services like clinical, financial and regulatory systems in a cost effective, high quality manner.
Also responsible for providing application expertise and resources required for ongoing operational support.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the day! -to-day operations of Application Services across CHI.
- Ensures the successful installation, use, and support of software in CHI initiatives.
- Keeps abreast of changing market and business needs as they relate to clinical, financial or regulatory items.
- Provides service and coordination with CHI hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, clinics, or other identified eligible recipients of IT services to ensure synchronicity of their needs with corporate strategic efforts and local initiatives.
- Working in coordination with the VP Application, plans, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems and software applications in alignment with the IT Strategic Plan.
- Ensures that local and Field IT tactical plans support and complement the achievement of the CHI strategic IT initiative.
- Creates and fosters a 'customer centric' service in the deli! very of application related products and services.
- En! sures that the original design principles are maintained and that information and software applications are continually improved.
- Coordinates and assists the Applications Directors in areas of preparation for operational and capital budgets and processes related to EPMO, HR and CRVM.
- Key point of IT coordination for all merger and acquisition activity of CHI.
- Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, supports and upgrades across all application teams utilizing industry best practices in software delivery and support.
- Works with RCIOs and MBO leadership to identify opportunities to standardize/consolidate applications and assist in the implementation cost saving initiatives.
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Business Administration or Healthcare required.
Masters degree preferred.
Experience:
8-10 years in a senior level role responsible for clinical, fina! ncial and/or regulatory applications, their selection, implementation, and life cycle Support required.
Thorough knowledge of application vendors and products utilized in healthcare required.
Well developed skills in operational information systems planning and implementation required.
Experience in information system business processes and functions in the acute, sub-acute, outpatient and clinic setting required.
Deep understanding and proven track record over several years in IT delivery, and excellent awareness of the strategic goals and ability to define and influence those goals.
Organizational skills in managing central and dispersed IT resources and applications in addition to coordinating multiple IT-related initiatives and projects.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Business Administration or Healthcare required. Masters degree preferred. Additional Responsibilities: Coordinates Application Planning with the appropriate business sponsors and governance councils. Requires a delicate balance of coordinating and providing information to application suppliers and managing and overseeing vendors' efforts in delivering high quality, cost effec! tive service and products. Works closely with the VP, Client and Vendor Management and VP, Application/Technology Services during negotiations and purchasing, vendor management, and IT financial processes. Works with Field leadership in support of corporate and local IT initiatives. Participates in leadership teams and task forces for key initiatives as requested. Advises, guides, and conducts frequent IT service provision reviews with leadership regarding current information systems and software applications. Coordinates all activities in partnership with the EPMO, CRVM, RCIOs and Technical Services teams.
