Job Summary/Essential Duties:
Centralized call center SAC nurse will perform as a liaison with Medical Staff, Surgery Scheduling, multidisciplinary teams and patient to prepare and optimize patient prior to surgery or procedure.
Utilizing clinical knowledge performs, primarily via phone call or occasionally in person, patient preadmission surgical assessment interview of diverse client base.
Primarily via phone, provides patient information, preparation and education for impending surgery , tests and procedures at multiple hospital campus locations.
Verifies required pre admission surgical/medical data is obtained and present in EMR in a timely, accurate and complete manner prior to procedure.
Utilizing electronic medical records data, preadmission intervie w and anesthesia criteria identifies missing patient testing and data prior to procedure
Utilizes outside resources as needed, supports obtaining required medical record documentation and data collection prior to surgery.
Identifies patient /care givers learning abilities and special needs, modifying interview and education to support age, cultural or language appropriate learning.
Utilizing critical thinking skills identifies and supports resolution of psycho-social , environmental, or any other conditions which would delay or result in cancelation of surgery or procedure within 24 hours of scheduled date and time.
Assists with the development, assessment, implementation and monitoring of current workflows to achieve excellent patient outcomes, increase patient satisfaction and department efficiencies.
Maintains and promotes a positive, professional attitude within organization and with contacts outside our organization.
Requires excellent interpersonal and phone communication skills with exceptional conflict resolution and outcome optimization focus.

Job Requirements
We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Registered Nurse with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process.

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Specialty certification (ex: CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred
- Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas
