Designing wholesale & travel retail locations within the Rituals brand guidelines and concept
YOU ARE ALL ABOUT RETAIL DESIGN
In this role, you are responsible for designing the Rituals Wholesale & Travel Shop-in-Shop locations that are built all over the world. From airports to department stores, you are involved from the early stage when the decision is made to install a Shop-in-Shop or Travel location until the moment a location is delivered and handed over to the frontline team.
You create shopfloor layouts and 3D’s, assembling the design according to the concept book our New Development colleagues designed, always considering the individual guidelines from our the accounts in mind. You independently prepare different design options when needed, seeking input, managing feedback, and receiving approval from internal and external stakeholders.
You are a true Wholesale and Travel design ambassador, who feels comfortable working flexible for both lines of businesses. You enjoy communicating and you are well able to work at the intersection of commerce and design, never afraid to give and receive positive feedback regarding challenging design situations.
To give you an idea of the scope: in 2022, more then 1500 Rituals shop-in-shops locations worldwide were handled! For next year, it will be up to you to make parts of them sing!
For 40 hours per week, you:
- Design both Wholesale SiS & Travel locations depending on the moment, and act as a sparring partner to the Wholesale & Travel Commercial team
- Create 3D models and photoshop impressions
- Can make presentations related to SiS designs and can support in making design presentations for the team
- Manage multiple projects at the same time for different accounts
- Keep track off the business decisions that are made concerning your projects, and your able to act upon with a pro-active attitude
It may occur occocasionaly that you work as a project manager during the construction phase, then you will liaise with local Business team and our Accounts and deliver the shop on site.
You will be a team member of the Travel & Wholesale Design team, within the Rituals Format & Design department team, based in the Amsterdam HQ. You will report to the Travel & Wholesale Design Manager.

High on energy, low on ego and with a of little bit humour. You are also 'one of a kind' because of your eye for detail and only satisfied when the whole picture is complete.
Tight deadlines don’t scare you, and neither do huge amounts of small scaled projects at different stages at the same time. You are also known for your organizing skills, and working according to processes suits you very well apart from your design skills.
On top of it, you have:
- A Bachelor or Master certificate in Architecture, Interior Design or Drafting education
- 2-3 years experience in Retail or Interior design, experience with Shop-in-Shop and working in Wholesale or Travel would be a great plus
- Experience working with Vectorworks 2D/3D, Photoshop and InDesign
- Experin
- Perfect English communication skills, as we are an international department and communicate primarily in English.
