English Language Proficiency required DUTIES:
This position is in the Department of Surgery (ENT Head & Neck Oncology). Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeon will provide a full range of diagnostic, therapeutic and operative procedures for patients in the outpatient, inpatient and operative settings. Comprehensive otolaryngic medical car! e includes surgical evaluation and peri-operative care in the ENT clini! c, inpatient wards and emergency department.

Responds to patient telephone calls, informs patients of test results, renews prescriptions, gives telephone/email advice to other provides and performs administrative duties.
Basic computer skills are required using VistA or CPRS for ordering and making entries into the electronic medical record. Board Certified or Board Eligible Current BLS certification

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with variable hours and rotating weekends and call coverage. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District o! f Columbia.

Preferred Experience

Board certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery

Background in the full range of General Surgery procedures.
